What you'll need:
1. Essential oil in a scent of your choice, my favorite is peppermint!

2. White sugar
3. A jar or tupperware for your scrub

4. Coconut oil (Trader Joe's is the best value that I've found)
5. Food coloring (this is optional, but it makes the scrub look more fun if it's a gift)
Step 1: Pour the amount of sugar you need into a larger container, it's easier to mix that way!
Step 2: Scrape a few spoonfuls of coconut oil into a microwaveable bowl or mug and melt it in the microwave.
Step 3: Pour your melted coconut oil into the sugar and mix until you've reached a desired consistency. I like mine to be a happy medium! You don't want your scrub to be chunky or dry. You want it to be thoroughly mixed, but not overly saturated in coconut oil, otherwise it hardens and is difficult to get out of the jar when you want to use it.
Step 4: Pour in your essential oil. Depending on how much scrub you're making, you can use any amount you want! With peppermint, if I'm making a single jar, I tend to do between 1-3 drops of oil, because I don't like it too strong, but it's whatever works for you!
Step 5 (optional): Food coloring! I like to separate my scrub into half the jar with it's natural color, and color the other half red, especially around the holidays!
Step 6: Use the scrub on your hands after you wash them or all over when you shower! The sugar exfoliates your skin, the coconut oil makes your skin feel amazing and moisturized, and the oil makes you smell lovely!
