GRWM: Deep eyes and orange lips

Happy weekend, lovelies! So, the last couple days I've been gearing up for...WAIT FOR IT...my first ever get-ready-with-me! I thought I could combine my love for fashion posts with my love for makeup, and do an all-in-one. I couldn't be more excited to see what you guys think of this post. So, I did some out-of-my-comfort-zone makeup, and I am walking you through it in a step-by-step video. And, a fashion post too.

I have really been loving liquid lipsticks lately (you know I love the Sephora cream lip stains), and that's where this post stemmed from. Liquid lipsticks have been my jam lately because they last hours and hours on end, which is exactly what I need with being a server. I need to be able to talk all night long, drink sips of water semi-often, and not have to worry about smudging, bleeding colors, or feathering. Of course, all liquid lipsticks don't do the job. One of my favorites is from OFRA Cosmetics. And, KathleenLights (yeah, I'm talking about her again, kind of obsessed with her, don't judge me) did a collaboration awhile back with them. She still does coupon codes with them (Use 'Kathleen30' for 30% your purchase on their website). One of the colors they created was Miami Fever, which I am featuring in this look. I have been so nervous to wear this lip color because it is a seriously true burnt orange, and, turns out, it's perfection! After putting this lippie on for the first time, I knew I wanted to center an entire look around it, so let's get goin'...

The look

As per usual, I slipped on my Madewell jeans in Edmonton wash. These jeans are the most worn thing in my closet! They fit me like a glove, and they are ultra comfy. To follow the burnt orange theme, I put on some rust-colored ankle booties. I slipped on a basic heathered grey cropped mock neck long sleeve, and paired it with a plaid scarf to stay warm. I added my leopard print clutch for a little pattern mixing and a pop of something unique.

Mock Neck: H&M
Booties: ALDO // Similar
Clutch: Sole Society
Scarf: H&M

The hair & makeup

To keep my hair nice and simple, I parted directly in the middle and brushed it out. I love wearing my hair down with scarves because it poofs up and gives my hair natural looking volume (P.S. my hair has no natural volume whatsoever).

Since my lip color was the focus of this look, I didn't want much other color on my face, no bold eye colors or blushed cheeks. I used a very neutral colored blush, and kept my eyes deep matte shades, like deep grey, deep brown, and black. To replicate this look, watch the step-by-step tutorial on my YouTube channel, linked below!

What do you think of liquid lipsticks? Is there any you've tried and loved? Or tried and been disappointed by? I'd love to heart them! I'd also love some feedback on this first GRWM post, to see if you guys would like to see something like this again.
