LUSH Haul

Last week, I went downtown Seattle with some of my coworkers for a girls night out. We took an Uber, stopped by Sephora, LUSH, and ate till we felt sick at P.F. Changs. I had never been into LUSH, so I was super excited just to see what the store looked like (and smelled like), and I was not disappointed! I picked up a few different things while I was there, that I thought I could share with you guys, along with my experience there.

We walked into the door and were greeted immediately, by both a sweet employee, and an amazing smell all around us. There were bath melts galore (which was kind of awful because I don't have a bath, but they all looked and smelled wonderful), all sorts of shampoos and conditioners, bars for shampooing and massaging, and a million other things to choose from. Of course, I gravitated to the mask section because I'm obsessed with face masks. I'm also a cheap-o and I like to get Up&Up brand body washes from Target for $2, so I didn't even bother with that section ($20+ body washes? Not my jam). They had face and body masks, moisturizers, soap bars, facial masks, cleansers, and hair masks. They had a counter full of refrigerated face masks, all with a bowl out so you can test them on your hands and smell them (which you know I was all over). You pull the size and kind you want out of a little mini-fridge. They need to stay refrigerated to stay fresh, and they do have a pretty short shelf life since they are fresh (1-2 weeks about).

I really quickly want to talk about the company itself. They hand-make all of their products in Vancouver, with fresh ingredients, and they are against animal testing. The brand supports such great values, and you can read about it all on their website, but here is a little glance at their company philosophy. One of my favorite things was that the bottom of each product has a little sticker with a face and name of who made the product, and the date it was made, which I think is so awesome!

Alrighty, now for the haul! I haven't tried many of these products yet, but after just trying one I bet you'll be seeing them in my next months favorites, or maybe a brand lovin' post coming up! I thought I would share with you guys what the products look and smell like, what they claim to do, and their packaging.

1. Mask of Magnaminty // This is a face and body mask. The smell is to die for. The minty scent is so strong, it clears your sinuses. I can't wait to rub this all over! The consistency is pretty thick, with a green tint to it. This is one of my coworkers' favorite items from LUSH, so I can't wait to give it a try. The website says that it is mostly meant to be a face and back mask. It is so infused with peppermint that it reaches deep in your pores to remove debris from your skin, giving you a tingly sensation when you have it on.

2. Cup O' Coffee // Another face and body mask, the smell of this one really got me, and I had to have it! It smells like a fresh made mocha. And, I love what coffee does for the skin. It's a great exfoliator, and temporarily relieves the look of cellulite because the caffeine brings blood towards the skin, which is why I love making coffee scrubs at home. The LUSH version contains Kaolin which they say helps to deeply cleanse impurities from the pores. The consistency of this scrub is definitely more of a "goopy" kind of texture, so you'll need to be careful not to make a mess!

3. BB Seaweed // This was a must-have because it is a LUSH bestseller, and because of the strong smell of lavender (one of my favorite scents). The scrub has seaweed (obviously) which nourishes the skin, while the exfoliator of this scrub is the fine ground almonds it contains. I tried this mask first thing when I bought it, and the texture is really nice. It's almost like the texture of whipped cream cheese, very fluffy, which makes it easy to apply, and it dries quickly on the skin, leaving you feeling soft and firm after.

4. Oatifix // The second face mask I got, this one couldn't be more different in texture than the last. It is very thick at first, so you need to warm it up in your hands for a minute to let it break down. It applies very chunky because of the banana, oatmeal, and almond it contains. The smell is amazing, it kind of makes you want to eat it...it smells exactly like snickerdoodle cookie dough in my opinion! This mask is said to be best for dry or irritated skin (perfect for this winter weather), and it is also said to slough away dry and flaky skin.

5. KISS Lip Scrub // This was an impulse register buy! I have such dry, chapped lips, especially during the winter. And, I love wearing lipstick every day (as you guys know), but the chapped lips paired with my favorite matte lip just isn't flattering, my flakes and lip cracks are accentuated, and it isn't cute. This scrub has been my lifesaver prior to applying lipstick. And, the best part? You can lick it off when you're done exfoliating, and it tastes like candy! If you guys are in LUSH soon, pick this one up, because it is a limited edition valentine's day release. And, it has cute little hearts in it, ADORABLE.

6. No Drought Dry Shampoo // I'll be honest. I absolutely love hot showers for my body. BUT, I absolutely hate washing my hair. Hate it. So, dry shampoo is definitely used once to twice a week, and more than that when I am traveling. So, this naturally caught my eye. I am obsessed with the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, but I am hitting the bottom of my can, so I thought I would try something different this time. This one has a very light grapefruit-lime scent that is nice and fresh, and the reviews on it are amazing. It also appealed to me because it claims to blend in completely even on dark hair (which is my biggest problem when finding a dry shampoo).

Have you been to LUSH? What have you tried from them? Do you know of any other brands like this that create awesome fresh ingredient products? I'd love to hear about them below! Have a wonderful day, lovelies!

January non-beauty favorites | Collab with Anya Marie

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! It's time for NON-BEAUTY FAVORITES! Basically any excuse I can get to do more favorites posts every month. Potential for a skincare favorites, home favorites, etc.? ;) Anyways, I'm extra excited about this favorites post because I'm doing my first ever collaboration. Anya Marie Ball has her own blogspot as well, and we've connected over Instagram awhile back. She is such a sweetheart, and her content is really amazing. So, go check our her blog! We each chose 5 non-beauty favorites to share with you guys today.

1. Sole Society Cassidy Vegan Weekender // As I mentioned in my video the other day, I've been traveling home quite a bit lately, so this bag has been my lifesaver. It's a gorgeous oxblood burgundy color, is full of pockets, and is the perfect size to carry on my lap for the bus. Sole Society has awesome quality bags, and this one is by far my favorite purchase from them. It is the ideal size for a short weekend, packing an extra pair of clothes, some jammies, and my cosmetics bag.

2. Daniel Wellington 'Classy St. Mawes' 26mm // Yes, this watch gets yet another feature on my blog! This watch has been a favorite since Jason gave it to me a little before Christmas. It's gorgeous, goes with any outfit, and is by far the nicest thing I own. It's dainty even on my tiny wrists, and I can't talk about how beautiful it is enough!

3. Tazo Wild Sweet Orange Tea // You guys already know I'm obsessed with tea. Really, any hot drinks, but tea is my go-to. It's probably overboard how much I drink it. But, this is a tea I got in my stocking this Christmas from my aunt and uncle. I've always been an only green and black tea kind of gal, so I was surprised by my love for this tea. It's taken a special place in my tea drawer (yes, I have a drawer exclusively for my excess of tea). It's especially good with added honey for when you're feeling ill!

4. Bath & Body Works Mahogany Balsam Candle // This is favorite of Jason and I this January. TMI alert: Fitzgerald the cat takes the stinkiest poops ever. Not sure how something so vile comes out of such a small animal. Nonetheless, the smell is hard to cover up, but this candle does it within minutes. The smell is so strong, but not in an overpowering way. It smells like a manly man who lives inside of a pine tree. Perfect combo. I'm dreading the day that I use this one up!

5. Madewell Necklace // Yet another accessory favorite. My go-to in the wintertime is cuffed jeans with comfy shoes and a huge chunky sweater, so I always need a little something to make me look more put together. This necklace is super long, and has a super unique design, so it adds the perfect touch to an oversized sweater. Clasp necklaces can be super irritating if there isn't someone to help take it off at the end of the day, so I love the back enclosure on this necklace. And the type of material they use is such a unique gold.

If you haven't gone over to Anya's blog, go ahead and check out her non-beauty favorites now! What were your non-beauty favorites from this January?

January beauty favorites

It has come time. For the whole month I've been itching to share favorites with you guys. This is my favorite post to do, and that's why we're narrowing it down to 5 favorites. This way, my posts aren't as long, and I can post more photos and talk more specifics about these products and why they are my favorites. These are products I have either (i) been using every single day, or (ii) been using on special occasions and just loving them when I do. Also, don't tell me it's a crime to put two highlighters in one favorites post, because I could do an only highlighters favorites post. I couldn't help myself. And, they're the same brand too! If it wasn't a crime before, it definitely is now.

For swatches and close-ups of consistency and blend-ability of all my favorites, watch the corresponding youtube video below!

1. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector 'Moonstone' // This is the highlighter I've been using on special occasions, because it is perfection and I want to savor it. I was a little nervous to pat this on my skin after using my powder foundation, but it actually applies just as beautifully as it does over a liquid. And, you can top it with a powder and it's so highlighty (is that a word?) that it will shine it's way right through. One of the reasons I've been obsessed with this highlighter is because a little goes such a long way, which also means this is going to last forever. Also, the highlight is so gorgeous, unlike any other that I've used before. Moonstone is described as a 'pale gold'. It is so easy to apply, I just pat it onto my upper cheekbones and the center of my nose with my beautyblender. I've also heard of people mixing small amounts of this into their foundation for extra luminosity, but I think I'd look like a disco ball if I tried that!

1.7 FL OZ, lots of product!
The pump makes this product easy-peasy to dispense.
This tiny dab goes SUCH a long way, see below.
This is that small dab from above, so much pigment! And,
the creamy formula of this highlighter is incredible.
Blended out, this highlight gives such a luminous sheen.

2. Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara // A savior for those who struggle with raccoon eyes, lower lash clumping, or bottom lash mascara application. The wand on this mascara is teeny weeny, making it perfect for getting your bottom lashes. I also love using the end of the wand to lengthen my outer upper lashes for that false lashes look. And...it's only $10!

Such a small wand allows you to get those bottom lashes
very precisely. The wand reminds me a lot of Benefit
Gimme Brow brow gel.
3. NARS Narsissist Cheek Studio Palette // This has by far been my favorite product this month. In the past two months, I have been traveling to and from home a lot because of the holidays, and because I am prepping to move and start school again in March. I take the bus a majority of the time that I visit home, so packing is a little tedious sometimes, especially if it's more than a weekend stay. This palette has been my cosmetic bag lifesaver! It includes 4 blushes (exclusive to this palette), the Paloma contour duo (contour and highlight shade), and the classic Laguna bronzer. This palette is ultra sturdy, and keeps me from having to carry a million pans of makeup items in my bag. NARS blushes are my favorite in the world, but their formula and rubberizing packaging isn't ideal for traveling because they are very easily breakable, so this super sturdy palette has been my solution. The shades in this palette give a perfect range from light to dark, and I love the idea that the blush shades are all exclusive to this palette and limited edition. And, it's NARS, so you know they killed it on packaging! My only confusion / disappointment with this palette were the blush names. On the back of the palette it lists blushes as names (I, II, III, and IV), so I had to visit Sephora to see if they created actual names for the blushes (turns out they did, confusing...find those below).

The packaging is mirrored, so it's definitely a magnet for fingerprints,
but it is beautiful. It looks and feels luxurious!
Top left two shades: Paloma Contour
Top right: Laguna Bronzer
Bottom left to right: Icy Lilac, Sausalito Sunset, Shimmering
Rose Peach, Fleshy Pink
Top to bottom swatches : Fleshy Pink, Shimmering Rose Peach,
Sausalito Sunset, Icy Lilac, Laguna, Paloma Contours
TheBalm Put a Lid On It // You guys know that I've been dabbling more and more in eyeshadow recently, and this has been my holy grail for prior to. This primer gets rid of all creasing and oiliness on the lids, and makes shadows stay beautifully all day long. You need so little, just a tiny dab on your index finger to cover both lids. I have ultra oily eyelids that usually just eat their way through shadows during the day, but this keeps them perfectly in check. The packaging is nice and simple, with a squeezy tube. Killed it, TheBalm!

A gel-like consistency that dries within a few seconds. A very small
amount is needed for both lids.
5. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed 'Champagne Pop' // This is probably no surprise to you guys, considering that everyone and their mother had this in their 2015 year favorites and their January favorites. This is hands-down the most amazing highlighter I have ever worn. It is the perfect shade, the perfect consistency, and the perfect amount of pigment. Described by Sephora as a "soft white gold w/ pinky peach undertones". The packaging is so nice and sleek, a metal center with a rubberized outside. This was a collaboration with Jaclyn Hill, and I'm so excited that BECCA did this. Their highlight shades are all amazing, but this one in particular is absolutely gorgeous. I have been wearing this highlight every single day this month! I've also been using this quite often as an eyeshadow.

The perfect gold highlight. The pressed skin perfectors feel almost
creamy to the touch.
Now that you've seen my January beauty favorites, what were yours this month? Have you tried any of these amazing products?

P.S. A little heads up, keep your eye out for non-beauty favorites releasing tomorrow!

GRWM: Deep eyes and orange lips

Happy weekend, lovelies! So, the last couple days I've been gearing up for...WAIT FOR IT...my first ever get-ready-with-me! I thought I could combine my love for fashion posts with my love for makeup, and do an all-in-one. I couldn't be more excited to see what you guys think of this post. So, I did some out-of-my-comfort-zone makeup, and I am walking you through it in a step-by-step video. And, a fashion post too.

I have really been loving liquid lipsticks lately (you know I love the Sephora cream lip stains), and that's where this post stemmed from. Liquid lipsticks have been my jam lately because they last hours and hours on end, which is exactly what I need with being a server. I need to be able to talk all night long, drink sips of water semi-often, and not have to worry about smudging, bleeding colors, or feathering. Of course, all liquid lipsticks don't do the job. One of my favorites is from OFRA Cosmetics. And, KathleenLights (yeah, I'm talking about her again, kind of obsessed with her, don't judge me) did a collaboration awhile back with them. She still does coupon codes with them (Use 'Kathleen30' for 30% your purchase on their website). One of the colors they created was Miami Fever, which I am featuring in this look. I have been so nervous to wear this lip color because it is a seriously true burnt orange, and, turns out, it's perfection! After putting this lippie on for the first time, I knew I wanted to center an entire look around it, so let's get goin'...

The look

As per usual, I slipped on my Madewell jeans in Edmonton wash. These jeans are the most worn thing in my closet! They fit me like a glove, and they are ultra comfy. To follow the burnt orange theme, I put on some rust-colored ankle booties. I slipped on a basic heathered grey cropped mock neck long sleeve, and paired it with a plaid scarf to stay warm. I added my leopard print clutch for a little pattern mixing and a pop of something unique.

Jeans: Madewell
Mock Neck: H&M
Booties: ALDO // Similar
Clutch: Sole Society
Scarf: H&M

The hair & makeup

To keep my hair nice and simple, I parted directly in the middle and brushed it out. I love wearing my hair down with scarves because it poofs up and gives my hair natural looking volume (P.S. my hair has no natural volume whatsoever).

Since my lip color was the focus of this look, I didn't want much other color on my face, no bold eye colors or blushed cheeks. I used a very neutral colored blush, and kept my eyes deep matte shades, like deep grey, deep brown, and black. To replicate this look, watch the step-by-step tutorial on my YouTube channel, linked below!

What do you think of liquid lipsticks? Is there any you've tried and loved? Or tried and been disappointed by? I'd love to heart them! I'd also love some feedback on this first GRWM post, to see if you guys would like to see something like this again.

Makeup brushes | starters + essentials

My late night posts seem to be a theme these days. I'm getting more and more stressed about moving and all these life changes, and it's keeping me awake at night, rolling around restless, so I figure I may as well chat with you guys, since it always puts me in a better mood. Right before January rolled around, we talked about my makeup brush collection. And, while I had fun posting about my brushes, and while some people like seeing others collections (those are some of my favorite videos on youtube), some may be looking for something a little more helpful than that. So, I thought we could expand from my collection, and talk about a brush essentials / brush starter kit. My intention for this post is (i) if you are new to makeup and want to start a little collection, and (ii) if you're looking for some awesome new brushes to add to your collection. Within my post, I've linked the brushes I own, as well as some alternatives, in case you guys are interested in taking a look.

Two things you guys will never see me hoarding or hauling are foundation and brushes. I understand having a ton of blush and eyeshadow and mascara, because you may want to use different colors based on your look or your mood, or you may want natural looking lashes for the office and volumized ones for a date. But, we're all the same color of foundation. I have a powder and a liquid one, just to be versatile, but I don't see myself ever owning more than two. The ones I have, I love, and why would I try something else instead of purchasing what I love? Don't fix what ain't broken, as Jason tells me. As far as brushes go, I have my collection of brushes that I love, and until they grow old and irreplaceable eons from now, I plan on sticking to them. There are a lot of beauty bloggers and youtubers that have 10 brushes just for the crease in an eye look, and 200+ other brushes. I just want to have one brush to grab in the morning, I'm way too tired to think that fully into what I'm doing! I haven't had my coffee yet!

Face brushes:

1. Beauty sponge // The one thing I likely couldn't live without in my makeup stash is my BeautyBlender. If you wear concealer or liquid of any kind, you need this in your life. When I first got mine, I thought it was just another stupid trend, but I absolutely fell in love with it. It blends products seamlessly, and makes the application process totally fool-proof and easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. Real Techniques is a brand I have yet to try, but people rave about their products, and they have a beauty sponge as well, for 1/4 of the price.

2. Powder brush // Whether you use a liquid, or a powder, you'll want a mineral powder brush in your collection. I highly recommend the Sephora #45 multitasker brush. It is incredibly soft, easy to clean and maintain, and is dual-purpose. I use this to set my entire face, as well as set my undereyes since it such a gentle brush.

3. Giant fluffy brush // This is the key to finishing your makeup look. The last step before heading out the door is making sure that your products are blended flawlessly, and that you don't have any extra product looking cakey or building up on your face. And, if you do your eyes after your face, you want to make sure you don't have any eyeshadow fallout or mascara flakes. A fluffy brush is the best way to blend all of your makeup and flick off any shadow fallout or residue from other makeup products. I like to use my fluffy brush for this, as well as for bronzing my face. Another dual-purpose brush!

4. Blush brush // To apply a natural flush to your cheeks, you'll need the perfect blush brush. Now, everyone's face is different and everyone is going to need to find the brush that works perfectly for them. And I have found my one. It is the Bobbi Brown blush brush. It fits perfectly on the apples of my cheeks, distributes product beautifully, and blends blushes out like a dream when there is too much pigmentation. If you're looking for a cheaper starter option, I would definitely consider the Real Techniques brushes. The MAC 129 is another good option.

5. Contour + highlight brush // Depending on whether you are just now getting into makeup, or whether you're a pro, this may or may not be a necessity for you. The reason I considered this a necessity is because I personally can't leave the house without a highlight. I can easily leave without a contour, but I love the look of a natural glow on the cheekbones, and there's something about it that I just can't resist. To save money, find a dual-purpose contour + highlight brush. I love the Hourglass Ambient Powder brush (I totally don't use it for what it is meant for). I use the sides of the brush to apply the contour to the hollows of my cheekbones, and the center of the brush to blend it out. It is also perfectly fluffy and narrow, so I use it to apply a highlight to the tops of my cheekbones and the center of my nose. For contouring and highlighting, you want a brush that isn't too dense if you are using powder products, because it can apply too much product and make your complexion look muddy. Of course, if highlighting and contouring aren't of interest, this may not be a brush starter necessity for you! Sephora has several contour brush options, MAC Duo Fibre brush is another great choice, and Real Techniques

Eye brushes:

1. Crease + blending brush // To save money when you are just getting started into makeup, you can find a brush that you can use dually for a crease brush, and for blending your shadows. The shape of blending and crease brushes tend to be quite similar, and if used properly, you can easily intertwine two uses into one brush. I highly recommend the MAC 224, it is tapered enough to use in the crease, but fluffy enough for blending shadows together as well.

2. Lid brush // To really pack on the color of a shadow, like a metallic or shimmer in the center of your lid, or even for an all-over natural matte shadow, you'll need a lid brush. If you are using a lid brush for a heavily shimmery shadow, consider spraying or wetting your brush prior to packing on the color. This will apply more pigment, and prevent the fallout that a lot of color-packed colors will have.

3. Angle brush // Last but not least, the angle brush. Before I really got into eyeshadows, this was my #1 used eye brush, because it is so multi-purpose. I use my angle brush to highlight the inner corners of my eye, to apply winged gel liner, to pack color under the waterline, to create faux liner, to correct lipstick mistakes, and to contour my nose. The reason I didn't include a lip brush in this essentials kit is because an angle brush is all you need! If you need more precision applying a dark lipstick, simply dip the end of your angle brush in the lipstick and apply to those thin corners and iffy areas. Then, cover any mistakes by dipping this brush into your concealer, and applying where needed. Angle brushes have so many uses, not just for the eyes.

If you guys are looking into starting off with makeup and want a very affordable option, I suggest venturing online to Amazon or Target and finding the Real Techniques brush collections. They have 4+ brushes for $12 and up. The reviews on their brush collections are amazing, and even compared to high-end brushes, people tend to gravitate towards using them every day, including makeup artists. I haven't tried them myself, but know many who rave about and love them. If you are willing to spend a bit more, I would head into a Sephora to have someone test the brushes out on you for the exact purposes you are looking for, they range from $15-$35 generally. They are always happy to help, and getting another opinion is always helpful. It also makes a big difference feeling brushes first-hand and knowing what feels right for your skin.

I hope that a post like this was helpful! If it was something that you enjoyed, or didn't, please let me know in the comments below. If this is something you guys are interested in seeing more of, I'd be happy to do a makeup starter kit, or something along those lines. For a look into all my personal makeup brushes, and the ones I consider essentials, watch the corresponding video below.

Ten winter essentials

Hello hello! How are you guys today? Today is my day off, and I used it to run some errands. I slipped on some of my favorite winter goodies and headed down to Uvill. I stopped in H&M to spend a gift card that I still had from Christmas, because they haven't had anything that caught my eye at our location yet. I picked up a couple neutral mock neck comfy tops, along with a crepe blouse in a out-of-my-comfort-zone color that I'm kind of loving, and a plaid scarf. It started pouring raining, and I got really cold. Then, I started thinking about why I love winter. The rain on my face, the crisp air all around me, and decided that some winter essentials were in order. Since it was too wet today to do my fashion post outside, I thought I could at least do something fashion related. So, here are the items I can't live without in the wintertime!

1. Insulated puffy jacket // If there was one thing I had to choose to survive winter with, it would be my black puffy jacket. I have been loving the long ones this season, because the extra warmth it adds to your booty is just lovely. It's all about keeping warm on those crisp and cold days, but the length and flattery of this style of jacket really catch my eye. I prefer black over any color because you can wear it with absolutely anything in your closet.

2. Mock neck long sleeve // One of my fashion essentials through fall and winter have been mock neck tops. Turtlenecks are constricting in my opinion and they freak me out! I love the look of fitted mock neck tops that have been slightly cropped. You can easily tuck them into higher-waisted jeans and they don't give the awkward lumping effects that longer shirts can sometimes cause. You can wear them with midi skirts too! I think the fit and style of these shirts is really flattering on everyone, and paired with a tight slicked back ponytail, they look really sleek.

3. Cozy winter mittens // I'm no glove-girl, I love me some mittens! I think they're so adorable, and they keep you from trying to mess on your phone. They keep your hands toasty, and since you can't move any of your fingers, it forces you to really just pay attention to the beauty on your winter walks. I love this burnt orange color because it transfers from fall to winter.

4. Plaid scarf // One of my favorite accessories for winter are scarves. I don't have many because I am wildly picky with scarves. In my opinion, the simpler, the better, but plaid ones always catch my eye. I prefer plaid with neutral colors, or red and black plaid, but the yellow in this one caught my eye and made it a little unique. They're great because you can pair them with any neutral top to make your outfit a little more interesting, and they keep your neck ultra warm!

5. Oversized turtleneck sweater // The only time I'll wear actual turtlenecks is in oversized sweater form, because they are loose fitting, and they just add warmth, not boa-constrictor tightness around your neck. It's such a simple thing to throw on with any look and stay ultra cozy throughout the day while running errands, or to wear lounging at home.

6. Chelsea boots // My go-to boots are always Chelsea boots! They go with any look, especially if you buy brown or black ones. I love wearing mine with cuffed jeans and little peek of colorful winter socks in between. I like to buy mine a half size up so that I can wear ultra thick winter socks underneath to keep my tootsies nice and warm!

7.  Crew socks // Crew socks are my favorite thing to wear with chelsea booties because you can add a fun peek at some crazy socks if you want. My favorite ones are the trouser socks from Madewell, they're reasonably priced, there is a giant range of colors and styles, and they are just the right thickness and warmth.

8. Dark lipstick // My looks tend to stay dark and neutral during the winter, with grey and black tops, and dark jeans, so I like to spice my looks up with my makeup whether it's deep eyes, dark blush, or bold lips. But, you guys know my go-to with makeup is always a bold lip! With grey and black, I love pairing a deep red lipstick (MAC Diva above). It adds dimension to your look, and really stands out.

9. Neutral beanie // For those super chilly days, sometimes wearing your hair down isn't enough to keep your ears warm. That's why I like to wear a grey beanie on those days where I need a little extra warmth. Having a beanie in a neutral color is great because you can wear it with literally anything, and you can pull off a cool grungey vibe.

10. Dark denim // I much prefer dark denim in the wintertime, because I prefer dark everything in the wintertime! I like to cuff my denim (none of it is ever long enough for my monkey limbs) and wear Chelsea booties just about every single day I leave the house. It's my go-to look. Dark denim can be dressed up or dressed down too, which is awesome.

To see these ten winter essentials interpreted from my personal closet, watch the video below!

I hope you guys are enjoying this cold and crisp winter weather! What are your go-to winter essentials? Do you stick to neutrals and darker colors during this season like I do?
